Learn to Sail in the Stunning Gulf of Saint-Tropez

Our beginner courses take place in the morning, when conditions are ideal for learning: calm, flat water in a sheltered, shallow bay where you can stand almost anywhere. A gentle side breeze blows regularly — perfect for progressing safely and having fun on the water.

Our Kids’ Sailing Courses

Our instructor Dylan is a true expert when it comes to working with kids. Passionate and energetic, he knows how to make learning to sail fun and exciting.
With a playful pirate-themed setup, he takes young adventurers on a real treasure hunt — turning each session into an unforgettable experience.

Our Private Sailing Lessons in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez

With just one hour of private instruction in ideal conditions (usually in the morning), progress is remarkably fast. Most learners become autonomous in light wind conditions after just a single session.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

At what age can you start sailing?

Children must be 5 or 6 years old and able to swim in order to participate in sailing. This ensures their safety on the water and that they can understand and follow instructions properly.

Children usually need to be around 8–9 years old to have enough strength to lift the sail without difficulty. This makes windsurfing more enjoyable and comfortable to learn.

Courses last 1.5 hours, with all equipment prepared in advance to maximize time on the water.

Our spot is perfect for beginners, with calm, shallow waters and no strong currents. On top of that, we provide equipment specially adapted for first-time sailors, making it a safe and ideal place to learn and progress quickly.

Yes, absolutely — you’re welcome to stay at La Moune and enjoy the tropical atmosphere even if you’re not sailing.
Relax by the beach under the shade of our palm trees, sip on a coffee or a cold drink, and soak up the laid-back vibes.

We recommend bringing a towel, sunscreen and a cap to protect children from the sun. Water shoes are also advised, although we do have a few pairs available on site.

Being able to swim is mandatory for sailing, to ensure safety in case of a fall into the water.
